Gurdwara Pathar Sahib

Gurdwara Pathar Sahib

Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, is a wonderful Gurdwara Sahib built in the memory of Guru Nanak, around 25 miles from Leh, on the Leh-Kargil street, 12000 ft over the ocean level. The Gurdwara was worked in 1517 to celebrate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to Ladakh , the author of the Sikh faith.During his lifetime Guru Nanak went to numerous far off spots and one such place was Tibet. Master Nanak is very much regarded by Tibetan Buddhists who think of him as a holy person; The Dalai Lama, the otherworldly pioneer of Buddhists in Tibet, has affirmed this in his discourses with some Sikh pioneers saying that Tibetans worship Guru Nanak as a Buddhist holy person under the name of Guru Gompka Maharaj.
